Arab Americans Sought for US Forest Service Positions
The US Forest Service is seeking to fill two positions at its International Programs office in Washington, DC.
Intern: Individuals interested in the issues of natural resource conservation at an international level are welcome to apply for an internship position for the summer of 2007. This position will be a full-time post and the internship may lead to employment. The intern will primarily serve as a research and administrative assistant in the IP office and will receive travel reimbursement, living expenses, and a $1,000 monthly stipend. Program Assistant -Middle East and North Africa Program: An entry level position with the Middle East Program is available through Management and Engineering Technologies International (METI), a Washington D.C. based contracting firm. Duties include developing work plans and reports, organizing travel, and monitoring and reconciling budgets. Ability to work with partners (government, NGO, private sector, academia) is essential. The position is based in Washington, D.C. with USDA Forest Service International Programs staff.
