Elba Santiago receives Hispanic Leadership Award

NEW YORK, NY–Elba Santiago, a Muslim Puerto Rican in New York, was honored for her community work by New York City Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer at his his fourth annual Hispanic Leadership Awards Ceremony.
Santiago, a Community Board 2 member, is an active member of her community and has played a pivotal role in beautifying the community. She also serves on P.S. 11’s School Leadership Team.
Santiago, a mother of four, is currently pursuing a degree in liberal arts, social sciences and humanities.
