First Tawheed Cricket Cup and Eid Party

Farmington Hills Cricket Club Championship:

Last Saturday, September 8th, 2012, the first Tawheed Cricket cup was held in the Tawheed Center Parking lot along with an ‘Eid Milan party.  It was a big gathering of Michigan’s Muslim community.  Activities were arranged for men, womena and kids by the Tawheed Center.  12 teams from the Michigan Muslim community took part in the tournament, the Helping Hands team, Detroit Indian, Shahid Phys10, Anjum Tariq team, Abid Physio, Asim Khan, Muqsad Syed, Zia ur Rehman, Akhtar Qureshi, Akhtar Qazi, Taha Suhrawardi, and a Lawrence Tech University team.

Anjum Tariq of Farmington Hills won all their matches and proceeded to the final–on the other side LT U won their pool matches and reached the final.

The Anjum Tariq team won the toss and elected to bat first.  They made 60 runs in 8 fixed overs with the help of Ahsan and Dileep.  LT University started tremendously but Anjum, Fareed, Dileep and Tariq Tahir seased them on 46 runs and won the championship.  The FHCC team was concluded, Ahsan, Anjum, Dileep, Fareed, Waqar, Atif, Rizwan, Rehan, Fareed Haq and Tariq Tahir.
It was a tremendous effort of Shujat Khan to bring the community closer through games and entertainment.  While Brother Hasan, Kamal, Azam, Yahya, Manzoor, Abbas, Asim A. Khaliq, Zia, H. Mati, Iktikhar Shahzad, Zahir Shah and a lot of others did a great job to make the event successful.
