Graduation Party to Encourage Youth

Houston, Texas (Our Correspondent): Several Graduation Parties are arranged by parents in May and June, so as to inspire their own children and youth of the community to keep moving ahead with higher studies at colleges & universities.

Active community member and President of the Houston-Karachi Sister City Association (HKSCA) Muhammad Saeed Sheikh, hosted a Graduation Party in the admiration of his elder son, Muhammad Sufiyan Sheikh, who has graduated from Langham Creek High School (Cy-Fair ISD) with Honors and several scholarships, like the National Honors Society, and Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. He will be joining at the College Station A-&-M University this fall.

Program was ably conducted by his younger brother Muhammad Sameer Sheikh. Program started with recitation of Quran and small speech by young Imam Hafiz Tauqeer Shah.

Muhammad Saeed Sheikh, in his welcome address, thanked everyone for their presence, and acknowledged the presence & prayers of his mother at the occasion. He recognized the untiring efforts of his wife Farida Sheikh, in bringing up Sufiyan and encouraging him during the hard studies month.

Honorable Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee spoke via phone and congratulated the Sheikh Family. One of the Staff Members of Honorable Sheila Jackson Lee gave Certificate of Congressional Recognition to Sufiyan. Similar special greetings and recognition certificates were received from the offices of Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and Congressman AL Green.

Event was attended by prominent members of the communities and friends of the Sheikh Family.
