Javed Khan Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

SUNNYVALE, CA–Javed Khan, president of Jeskell, Inc., a Sunnyvale, CA-based IBM Premier Business Partner, has been named by CMP Technology’s VARBusiness magazine as a winner of the VARBusiness 500 Lifetime Achievement Award. The award was given on June 11, 2007 at the annual VARBusiness 500 event in New York City. The event honors America’s top technology integrators and executives.

The VARBusiness 500 lists North America’s largest IT system integrators, ranked by revenue, and is compiled by VARBusiness, the leading publication serving IT integrators/resellers.

“For nearly 30 years, Javed Khan has been a pillar of the IT and channel communities,” states Lawrence Walsh, Senior Editor of VARBusiness. “He was recognized not only for his sales success but also for demonstrating strong management, sound strategies, and the ability to grow a business while maintaining superior profitability.”

After emigrating from Pakistan in the late 1970s, Khan worked in IBM sales before striking out on his own to start up Jeskell in 1991. It began with Khan, one sales rep and a part time tech. Today, Jeskell is a $130M company, has operated in the black since its founding, and has never taken on debt or outside investors. Ranked in the top 5 percent of IBM Business Partners, Jeskell has increased revenues 225 percent in the past four years and has moved from #382 on the VARBusiness 500 list in 2004 to #199 today.

“I am honored by this recognition but much of the credit goes to the many others – employees, vendors, and IBM, our supportive business partner for more than 15 years – who have been instrumental in the company’s success. It has truly been a team effort.”

Established in 1991, Jeskell, Inc. is a top-tier IBM Premier Business Partner with a nationwide sales and service organization based in Sunnyvale, CA. The company boasts a 96% customer satisfaction rating and is one of only a very few IBM resellers authorized to represent the entire IBM line of computer systems, software, and services to commercial, government, and educational organizations. The company also has a broad portfolio of specialized Professional Services with practices in systems and storage, networking and communications, security, enterprise software, and managed services including hosting.
