Howell, Michigan. Ghaziabdullah Saroya 13, a resident of Ypsilanti, Michigan, captured 1st place in the Michigan State Martial Arts Championship 2012, in his weight/age class division. The Michigan State Martial Arts Championship was held on April 14, 2012 in Howell, Michigan.
As a 1st Place State Qualifier he is eligible to compete and participate in the US National Tae Kwando Championship to be held from June 30-July 4th, 2012 in Dallas, Texas.
Ghaziabdullah Saroya is the younger son of Nargis and Naeem Saroya, and the younger brother of Aliabdullah Saroya 14, who also qualified for the US National Tae Kwando Championship by winning a Gold medal in the State Tae Kwando Championship held in Lansing, Michigan on March 17, 2012.
Ghaziabdullah is an A student in 7th grade at Fortis Academy. He is a top student.
Ghaziabdullah earned his black belt when he was 10 and now he is a 2nd degree black belt–certified by the US Tae Kwando Federation. He has been a student of Tae Kwando since age 5.
He has previously won gold medals in various competitions including the Michigan Governor’s cup competition†in his weight/age class since 2010.
