President Biden orders U.S. military to shoot down Iranian missiles

INTERNATIONAL—As tension continues to increase surrounding the Israel-Gaza war President Joe Biden has ordered the United States military to shoot down Iranian missiles toward Israel. Biden has previously discussed how the United States is prepared to help defend Israel under any circumstances.

Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were monitoring the situation from the White House and were getting regular updates from the national security team. The United States military has worked closely with the Israeli Defense Forces against the Iranian missile attack, according to the national security advisor Jake Sullivan.

Media outlets at the Pentagon were told that two United States Navy destroyers were launched. There were nearly a dozen missiles allegedly aimed toward Israel.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump weighed in stating the situation is spiraling out of control. He claimed that the United States has no leadership. He took to social media to put forth his views on the Iranian attack on Israel.

“We have a non-existent President in Joe Biden, and a completely absent Vice President, Kamala Harris, who is too busy fundraising in San Francisco, a City which she and Gavin Newscum totally destroyed, and staging fake photo ops,” Trump said on Truth Social.

He also suggested that the United States was not at war overseas under his former presidency.

“NO WAR in Europe, and Harmony in Asia, No Inflation,” Trump wrote. “No Afghanistan Catastrophe. Instead, we had PEACE. Now, War or the threat of War, is raging everywhere, and the two Incompetents running this Country are leading us to the brink of World War III. You wouldn’t trust Joe or Kamala to run a lemonade stand, let alone lead the Free World.”

Trump also suggested that if he were in charge on October 7, 2023, when the Israel-Hamas situation started it would have never happened.

“I Russia/Ukraine never happens,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Afghanistan Botched Withdrawal never happens, and Inflation never happens. If I win, we will have peace in the World again. If Kamala gets 4 more years, the World goes up in smoke.”

Secretary of State Antony Blinken has previously told media outlets we need to be cautious about approaching matters overseas. He allegedly claimed the best answer is diplomacy to avoid what he calls a “full-blown war.”

According to Palestinian Health authorities, there have been over 41,500 civilians who have been killed in the ongoing Israel-Gaza war.
