The immigration ban or, it’s better known name, the “Muslim ban” was signed by executive order and went into effect last Friday, Jan 27, 2017. Within 24 hours, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a suit against it calling it unconstitutional. U.S. District Judge Ann M. Donnelly granted a stay on the ban allowing those currently in transit and those who have arrived on valid visas to be granted entry into the U.S.
